𝑬𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚

An immersive artwork series by CLON (Estela Oliva, UK) in collaboration with Nait Saves (Sofia Lecuona Pugno, AR) .

Echoes of Reality is a body of work reflecting on the profound changes brought by the advent of AI, web 3.0 and the metaverse, which are shifting human identity and behaviour, whilst contrasting with the current state of emergency in the natural world.

​

The work is set in an unknown planet, in which the sacred 'Temple of Memories' protects the living relics of a past, present and future time. The echoes of human existence are memories of lived moments, with living and non-living organisms from the natural world. Presiding the scene the CLON muses gather in an avatar ritual, whose voices resonate in the immensity of the space. In the absence of human intervention, the question arises: will avatars act as the guardians of ecology and the sanctity of life itself?  Throughout this journey Echoes of Reality aims to transcend the realm of the human to reinforce a connection with ecology, memory and the preservation of life.

• Experimental Art Film ​

Echoes of Reality - Drone Walkthrough is the first in the series set created during a remote residency between the artists. Set in the described world, the scene is explored through the eyes of a wandering drone as it scans and explores the land, collecting data and listening to the evocative soundscapes created by Nait Saves.

• Immersive Installation (early version)

A prototype was presented at ArtLab Argentina as part of MUTEK Buenos Aires 2022, taking over a dedicated room which featured LED volume, PA system, monitors, sculptural objects and lighting installations.
