TSDOMS (The Secret Duties of Master and Servant)
VR and expanded reality installation

“Th’ abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power."
Brutus in Julius Caesar (2.1.19-20) by William Shakespeare

TSDOMS (The Secret Duties of Master and Servant) is an immersive installation exploring power dynamics between human and virtual worlds. Presented as a hybrid virtual reality experience, the work transports the user into a simulated world where they are confronted with a crowd of clones. Physical interactions, movement patterns and musical responses are performed, like an uncanny ritualistic exercise.
TSDOMS reflects on power structures embedded in cultural narratives and technological infrastructures, and how they shape both human behaviour and the design of artificial systems. From AI tools, movement libraries and virtual environments, these systems inherit biases and assumptions about body, gesture and authority. The project is a continuation of CLON’s exploration of hybrid realities and simulated worlds through speculative narratives.
